My training began in 1985 with Relate (Marriage Guidance) In 1997 I started my Psychotherapy Training in TA (Transactional Analysis) at Metanoia Institute in Ealing, subsequently qualifying as a Clinical Transactional Analyst.

  • Certificate in Couple Counselling (Relate)

  • European Certificate in Psychotherapy

  • Diploma in Systemic Family Counselling (Accredited by the Association of Family Therapy)

I am a UKCP regulated Psychotherapist and BACP Senior Accredited supervisor. I am registered with the European Association of Psychotherapy.

Areas of experience

  • Working with couples individuals in all areas of relationship difficulties

  • In the community in family / children’s / Sure Start centres

  • Supervising and leading a team of family counsellors in Camh Tier 2

  • In private practice working with individuals, couples and families in both long and short term therapy contracts.

  • Childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, loss, divorce, separation, impact of trauma and change on a family

Over the period of my career and training I have qualified in Psychodynamic, TA, Person Centred and Systemic and use all of these theories to inform my thinking. Through all of this I would describe my approach as relational. The essential aspect of healing is the potency between the therapist and client.
