WHO AM I?
I
am a fully qualified clinical psychologist and I work as a therapist
in Lyon.
I
first left France, my home country, in 1982, to begin my ongoing
expatriate life. I have lived abroad as an expatriate for many
years, successively in Ireland, Algeria, United Kingdom, France,
Qatar, France, Myanmar, Sudan, returned to France for further
studies one year and Indonesia through to 2006.
Originally, my decision to go abroad was driven by my love of
traveling, discovering new cultures and people. In 1996, I decided
to study Psychology with the French distance learning system (CNED-IED)
which enabled me to combine expatriation with personal and
professional fulfillment.
QUALIFICATIONS
I
hold a DESS in Clinical Psychology, specialized in Ethnopsychiatry
(Paris 8) and abide by the “Code de Déontologie des Psychologues”.
The curriculum offered by the CNED is of excellent quality enabling
students to acquire a strong theoretical knowledge of several
approaches, including psychoanalytic, systemic,
cognitive-behavioral, pragmatical and ethnopsychiatric. A sound
framework upon which to approach different client needs.
I
use an integrated approach whilst respecting the client’s specific
needs and cultural background.
