Whether you have recently moved to France or already have an established life here, I understand how difficult it can be to access help when you need it most.

Losing touch with friends and family back home and re-establishing yourself in a new place can be challenging at the best of times but when life throws you a curve ball, it can feel overwhelming.

That is why I provide a sincere, confidential and compassionate online counselling service to English speaking clients throughout France. I am here to support you through current difficulties and to help you find new ways of approaching existing problems.

If you are experiencing any of these issues, then online counselling with me may help:

anxiety – depression – loneliness – bereavement – loss – low self-esteem –  life changes
stress management anger management – communication with others – lack of confidence
relationship issues – sex and sexuality – gender expression – divorce and separation
general dissatisfaction with life – feeling low

What’s more, the unique problems that English-speaking people living in France experience can often be a surprise when they happen:

  • The difficulty of adapting to a new country

  • The loss of identity such as job, family or community status

  • A breakdown in relationships with partners, friends and family

  • Feeling disconnected from both where you grew up and where you now live

  • Uncertainty in relation to administration relating to nationality and residency

  • Struggling to learn a new language, and to make friends or find work

In these situations, spending time with an impartial, professional and supportive trained therapist like myself can be incredibly helpful. Our sessions will be tailored to your needs and I will draw on my professional and academic experience to work in your best interests. Using an integrative approach, I will utilise techniques from psychodynamic, person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and existential therapies. We can look at past and present relationships and experiences to gain a better understanding of your present-day troubles.

Though our sessions take place online, I believe that very quickly you will feel at ease and enjoy the convenience that online therapy has to offer. In addition, you can choose the mode of communication and change this to adapt to your needs.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Professional Member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO). I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework which means I receive regular clinical supervision, ongoing training, and ensure that I have frequent reviews with clients to ensure sessions focus on their needs.

If you are ready to find out more or book your first session with me please email me or visit my website.
