English/American qualified to PhD level. I studied all main forms of therapy but now specialise in offering Gottman Therapy to couples. I have worked for over thirty years supporting various therapies in London and then in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy in the USA, after teaching for fifteen years in American universities. I relocated to France in 2015.

Why seek counselling or relationship psychotherapy?
At times we can all feel stuck or challenged by life, overwhelmed by stressors or yearning for better relationships with the people we care about. It is natural to desire happiness and contentment but sometimes finding that balance is not always easy. It can feel scary to seek help but by coming to this website you have made that important first step.

Therapy helps us to face the challenges in our lives by recognizing and changing ineffective and destructive forms of thinking and behaviour. Over 30 years of solid training and experience enable me to help you resolve both inner personal conflicts as well as gaining insight into your relationships. Together we can help you to gain a sense of healing and regained control.

Approach to Therapy
Having studied so many approaches I would say I used an integrated model but more recently I find my direction of Gottman Therapy

Practicalities
I offer a free 15-minute session where we can decide if my approach to counselling will work for you. My website (www.drjules.com) has more details on my training and experience, as well as questions about fees and how therapy works. We will meet on Zoom. Please contact me to discuss what your difficulties are, and I look forward to helping you on your journey.

Languages Spoken
Therapy takes place in English. I also see clients who are not English, but they are able to converse in English well enough to have therapy in a second language.
