Bob McGowan is a Canadian therapist based in Paris, specializing in couples work, sexual intimacy, and addiction recovery. He holds a Master of Social Work from McGill University and brings clinical experience across outpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and private practice.

Bob is living in sustained recovery. That is not incidental to his practice. It is the foundation of it. Those seeking support around addiction, sobriety, and the life being rebuilt on the other side will find in Bob both clinical precision and a depth of personal understanding that cannot be taught.

He specializes in the intersection of relationships and recovery, and is currently pursuing his Couples & Sex Therapy Certification with the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes on the pathway to AASECT certification. His clinical approach draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, emotional regulation skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, integrated with somatic and trauma-informed practice.
